"Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope."
- Leia Organa, A New Hope.

Did You Know?

George Lucas believed that Steven Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind would outperform Star Wars, so he proposed a trade—each would receive 2.5% of the other's film profits. Spielberg accepted the deal and, to this day, continues to earn 2.5% of Star Wars' profits. (source)

Good morning Reader! 👋

Growing up, I thought Leia naming her son "Ben Solo" was a perfect tribute to Obi-Wan Kenobi. But then I rewatched the original trilogy and realized something—Leia didn’t really know Obi-Wan as “Ben.” That was Luke’s connection, not hers.

In The Last Jedi, Luke still bears the blaster shot he received to his robotic hand in Return of the Jedi. 😱 Hey Reader, it’s Vance here! 👋 When I rewatched Episode V not too long ago, I paused right at that moment, Leia placing something over Luke’s arm.
