Hey Reader, it’s Vance here! 👋

The moment Anakin is lying there, burning on Mustafar, Palpatine swoops in.

Sidious saves what’s left of him, and puts him back together as Darth Vader.

And I can’t stop wondering… why?

Palpatine had already won.

He had the Republic in his grasp, the Jedi were gone, and he was Emperor.

If anything, saving him just seemed like more work than it was worth. But maybe I’m missing something. Maybe Palpatine saw something in Anakin that we didn’t.

I dug into this question, and honestly, I think there’s more to it than we realize. I’ve got theories, and I’d love to hear what you think.
