Good morning Reader 👋

The other night, I was watching a Star Wars duel scene (because, let’s be honest, what else would I be doing?), and my dog decided it was the perfect time to swipe a snack off the counter.

As I tried to stop him without moving (Force push, anyone?), I suddenly thought of General Grievous. How did this guy, without the Force, manage to hold his own against Jedi Masters?

And why didn’t they just use the Force to stop him?

Why Can’t Jedi Use the Force on Grievous?

Turns out, it’s a lot more complicated than I thought. 🤯

I can’t believe we finally got a deep dive into the legendary Mythosaur, thanks to The Star Wars Encyclopedia (2024)👇

George Lucas shows Walter Cronkite - once known in his era in the news world as "The Most Trusted Man In America" - the Millennium Falcon model inside the ILM model shop.

This is from a CBS TV special that aired during prime time on July 26th, 1980 where Walter Cronkite spent the hour interviewing George Lucas and getting a tour of the ILM model shop.

It's interesting to think that this CBS TV special aired in the summer of 1980, when The Empire Strikes Back was still dominating the box office and Pop Culture, and was on its way to becoming the biggest box office hit of the year - just like the original Star Wars film had been 3 years prior, and just like its sequel Return of the Jedi would soon repeat 3 years later.
